They had been chained for this exact hour. That hour came.
📖Based on Revelation 9:14
They had been there the whole time.
Bound. Waiting. Not because they were forgotten.
Because the hour had not yet come.
An hour, a day, a month, a year. That specific. That precise. A moment that had been set in place before any of the people now living had been born.
The sixth trumpet sounded.
The voice came from the four horns of the golden altar — the altar that stood before God.
Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.
And they were loosed.
The army that followed them was two hundred million strong.
Two hundred million.
No general in history had ever commanded that many. No war had ever involved that many moving at once.
The horses in the vision had heads like lions. Fire and smoke and brimstone came from their mouths. Their tails were like serpents, and with them they caused harm.
By these three — fire, smoke, brimstone — a third of mankind was killed.
A third.
After the fourth horseman had taken a quarter. After the waters had been poisoned. After months of torment.
And still — after all of it — the rest of mankind did not repent.
That was the part that broke the heart of the record.
They did not repent of the works of their hands. They did not stop worshipping demons. They did not stop their murders or their sorceries or their thefts.
The angels had been bound for this hour.
And humanity, given every warning, still would not turn.
Scripture — Revelation 9:14
"Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates."

Some judgments have been prepared and scheduled with exact precision. Nothing about the end is accidental.
›
The most sobering detail in Revelation is not the scale of judgment — it is humanity's refusal to repent in the middle of it.
