The First Trumpet

Hail and fire fell from the sky. Mingled with blood.

📖Based on Revelation 8:7

The sky turned the color of a bruise just before it happened.

Not clouds. Not a storm system. Just a deep, spreading purple-green across the horizon that every weather system in the world failed to predict.

Then the hail came.

But it wasn't just hail.

It was mixed with fire. Actual fire. Burning inside the ice, burning around it, falling in sheets that left streaks of flame across the sky as they came down.

And the blood.

No one could explain the blood. It fell with the rest of it. Red. Real. Warm.

And they were cast upon the earth.

A third of the trees burned. Not the same trees in every place — but scattered, geographically distributed, like something was moving across the face of the earth with a specific pattern.

All the green grass was burnt up.

Across entire regions. The fields that had been green and growing went black in a matter of hours.

Farmers stood at the edge of what had been their land and could not speak.

The first trumpet had sounded.

Not everyone heard it. Not the physical sound — the supernatural announcement of judgment being released.

But everyone felt the result.

Scientists tried to classify it. Atmospheric anomaly. Meteor shower with unusual composition. Chemical reaction in the upper atmosphere.

They kept working on their explanations while the smoke rose from a third of the earth.

Heaven had spoken its first word in a language the world didn't want to translate.

Scripture — Revelation 8:7

"The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up."

Reflection

›

The trumpets are not random disasters. They are ordered judgments, each one building toward the last.

›

When creation itself becomes an instrument of divine warning, the message is unmistakable.
