The Dragon Cast Down

He lost the war in heaven. So he brought his war here.

📖Based on Revelation 12:9

He had been accusing them for ages.

Standing before the throne. Day after day. Night after night. Pointing his finger at every failure, every sin, every dark thought that crossed a human mind.

But then something changed. The blood of the Lamb changed something. And the accusations stopped holding.

Michael gathered the angels.

The war in heaven was not a metaphor.

It was a battle. Real. Decisive. Final.

And the dragon lost.

He was cast out. That old serpent, the Devil, Satan, the deceiver of the whole world — thrown down to the earth.

And his angels were thrown with him.

The voice from heaven said: Rejoice, you heavens. But then it said something else.

Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea.

Because the dragon had come down to you.

Having great wrath.

Because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

That was the terrifying part. He knew his time was short. And that knowledge didn't make him slow down.

It made him accelerate.

A cornered enemy with nothing left to lose is the most dangerous thing in any war.

The earth received him. Not willingly. Not knowingly. Just received him the way a city receives a storm.

And everything that followed — the beast, the mark, the false prophet, the persecution of the saints — all of it traced back to that moment.

When the dragon landed on this earth and turned his full, furious attention here.

Scripture — Revelation 12:9

"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

Reflection

›

The dragon's time on earth is short. That is why his destruction is so intense.

›

Evil that knows its end is near becomes more dangerous, not less.
