The Mountain of Fire

Something burning was thrown into the sea.

📖Based on Revelation 8:8

The telescopes tracked it for six days.

Something massive. Something on fire. Coming fast.

The calculations kept changing. Not a comet. Not a standard asteroid. The shape was wrong. The composition was wrong. The trajectory was precise in a way that suggested something beyond orbital mechanics.

Like it had been thrown.

As a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea.

That was the only language that fit what happened.

Cast. Not drifting. Not falling according to gravity alone. Cast.

The impact turned the sea red for hundreds of miles in every direction.

Not a metaphor. Not algae bloom. Not contamination.

The third part of the sea became blood.

The creatures in the sea that had life — a third of them died.

The ships.

A third of every ship that had been on the water in that region was gone.

Not just damaged. Destroyed.

The cargo. The crews. Everything.

The coastal cities watched the red water from their shores. Port after port shut down.

Global shipping collapsed in seventy-two hours. Supply chains that connected the world snapped.

And people inland, far from any ocean, started feeling it too.

In empty shelves. In rising prices. In the strange quiet of ports that used to never stop moving.

The second trumpet had sounded.

And the sea, which had always been the heart of trade and transport, had been made into something else.

A reminder of what water looks like when it has received judgment.

Scripture — Revelation 8:8

"And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood."

Reflection

›

The sea represents the commerce and movement of nations. When it is struck, the whole world feels it.

Each trumpet judgment escalates. The world is being given signs. It must decide what to do with them.
