Not the way you see an army on the horizon. Not the way you see a storm building in the sky.
You see it in the numbers.
The death toll in the morning news. The hospitals that stopped accepting new patients. The morgues that ran out of space.
His name that sat on him was Death.
That was all the introduction he needed.
And Hell followed with him.
Not trailing behind out of loyalty. Hungry. Following the way a shadow follows — inseparable, automatic, waiting to receive what Death delivered.
Power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth.
A quarter of the earth.
People ran the numbers. Took the world population and divided it by four. Stared at what that number meant. Then looked away.
Death came by sword. By hunger. By pestilence. By the beasts of the earth.
All four methods. All at once. As if every form of ending had been released simultaneously, allowed to compete for the same bodies, the same families, the same villages.
The pale horse moved through everything. Rich neighborhoods. Poor ones. Countries with great armies and countries with none.
It didn't discriminate. That was the thing nobody expected.
It had been given authority. Not stolen. Not taken in rebellion. Given.
Which meant someone greater than Death had decided it was time.
And once that decision is made, there is no negotiating with the rider.
Scripture — Revelation 6:8
"And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth."

Death in the end times is not random. It moves with authority and purpose.
›
Hell following Death is not a metaphor. It is a destination waiting to receive.
