The Abomination

He stood in the holy place. Nothing would ever be the same.

📖Based on Matthew 24:15

There had been warnings.

There had always been warnings.

Daniel had written it down centuries before it happened. Spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place.

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation.

Let him that readeth understand.

That parenthetical note — let him that readeth understand — was not decoration.

It was instruction. Pay attention. This matters. When you see this, act.

Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains.

Not next week. Not after one more news cycle. Flee immediately.

Don't go back for your coat. Don't go back for anything.

Because what followed that moment — what the abomination unlocked — was not a political setback.

It was the beginning of great tribulation.

Such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

The most specific possible language.

The worst thing that has ever happened and the worst thing that will ever happen — concentrated into one period.

And those who saw the sign and fled found refuge.

Those who hesitated found themselves inside it.

The abomination was not merely an act of sacrilege. It was a declaration.

A statement that the sacred was being replaced by the profane.

That the place where God was met had been claimed by something else.

And to those who knew the scriptures, it was not confusing.

It was the signal they had been told to watch for.

And they moved.

Scripture — Matthew 24:15

"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand.)"

Reflection

›

The abomination of desolation is a sign, not just an event. It calls for immediate response.

Prophecy is not given to make us passive. It is given to prepare us to act.
