Bible Mysteries and Miracles: Short Stories from Scripture
Some of the most puzzling moments in Scripture last only a few verses. A priest with no beginning. A bush that burns without turning to ash. A donkey that speaks. A shadow that moves backward. These stories slow down and look at each moment closely, with the verse beside it. You will find the miracles of Elijah and Elisha, the quiet wonders of Jesus and the angels who opened prison doors. They suit Sunday school, family devotion or a short read on the matatu. Every story ends with a reflection, so you have something to think about for the rest of the day. If you want a place to begin, open the Road to Emmaus.
